I am appreciative for the organisations I have worked for, and the many people (clients) I have worked with. I have included here my paid & volunteer work roles following graduation from my Bachelor of Social Work in 2008.
As you will see, I have three main threads to my relevant experience:
- Grief, Death & Dying roles
- Interpersonal trauma roles in the areas of Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence
- Sessional work within the University sector
You may also note that I have not held a full-time role prior to commencing Private Practice in 2013. I found working part-time roles allowed more spaciousness in my daily life while providing enough money to live in a consciously simple way. Therefore, you will see an overlap of dates in my work roles when I held two part-time roles at the same time.
Prior to my Social Work graduation in 2008, there were significant roles that contribute to my current understanding of the human services, and government, sectors. These roles include contract work undertaking administrative roles with the then Multicultural Affairs Queensland (2004) and Program Officer roles within the then Department of Communities (2005 – 2006). Another important role in my professional life was working at Legal Aid Queensland as a Client Information Officer in 2001 – 2002.
